BetDash NFL picks – week 15

BetDash NFL tipster Mac takes a look at the week fifteen Gridiron action, focusing on four games in particular.

NFL Week 15

I don’t know, you tell me, is there a better sporting period in the calendar than December? Copious amounts of NFL. The NCAA football bowl games kick off from the 19th on (basically a college football game a day live on TV into the first week of the New Year). More Premier League football action than you can shake a stick at. Fantastic NBA action live on TV (Notice ESPN have started showing them again here in Ireland and England?!). It is an exciting time to be a punting sports fan, and by the looks of it, NFL week 15 could be an exciting week, if the early lines laid down by the Vegas wise guys are anything to go by.

Clever things we said last week
”You either believe in Houston or you don’t. This column doesn’t.”
”The Broncos should run riot on the terrible Raiders.”

Not so clever things we said last week
”Chicago, confidently.”

The live games on Sky and C4 look particularly good this weekend. And tonight, of course. The Bungles need a win tonight against The Eagles, live on Sky at 1am. Green Bay at Chicago is a potentially tasty affair in the 6pm game on Sunday, while The Steelers at the Cowboys is nothing to shrug your shoulders at in the 9pm game. The 49ers travel to New England in the late Sunday night game on C4, a huge test of their lofty record. Great weekend of games ahead. Good luck to all, and enjoy the action.

Four picks to boost your bankroll

The Game: Indianapolis Colts At Houston Texans
Current line: Houston Texans -9.5
The Science: Ah OK, cool, right, I see what’s happening here. We’re basically going to ignore the Colts 3 game win streak, and the fact that Houston were absolutely destroyed last week in New England? 9.5 points for the Colts? Really? Is JJ Watt’s Dad setting the lines this week? Andrew Luck and the Colts can actually win this game, let alone win with 9.5 points. The mirage that has been Houston’s ‘great’ season took some serious body punches last week. The Colts +9.5 is an early Christmas present from the Vegas wise guys.
The Pick: Indianapolis Colts +9.5

The Game: Tampa Bay Buccaneers At New Orleans Saints
Current line: New Orleans Saints -3.5
The Science: Just going by the eyeball test, doesn’t it seem as if New Orleans have handed in their dance cards a little? They gave it a shot, however, it appears now as if they are folding up their tents for the season, no? They are being stomped lately. Meanwhile, Tampa have lost a couple of close ones. but can take advantage of a porous Saints defence that is basically waving opponent players into the endzone at this stage.
The Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3.5

The Game: Detroit Lions At Arizona Cardinals
Current line: Detroit Lions -6
The Science: Speaking of teams that have capitulated, goodness gracious, how about those Cardinals? Did you see what happened to them last week? Seattle were able to rest their starters from half time on! The Cardinals are collapsing without a fight. Meanwhile, the Lions still appear to have a little spark left. Did you know the Lions passing attack is first in the NFL? First! They can have as many points as they want here.
The Pick: Detroit Lions -6

The Game: Cincinnati Bengals At Philadelphia Eagles
Current line: Cincinnati Bengals -4
The Science: The Bengals deserve a do-over. Last week can be seen as an anomaly  considering their recent good form. The Eagles win was also shocking. Their recent form has been horrendous. Looking at their results, they weren’t just losing, they were getting pounded. Thursday night should see a market correction, with the Bengals getting the job done to stay in the playoff hunt.
The Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -4

The rest.
Definitely. Probably. Maybe.

Green Bay Packers At Chicago Bears +3
Jacksonville Jaguars At Miami Dolphins -7
Minnesota Vikings At St. Louis Rams -1
New York Giants At Atlanta Falcons -1
Denver Broncos At Baltimore Ravens +3
Seattle Seahawks -5.5 At Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers +3 At San Diego Chargers
Kansas City Chiefs  At Oakland Raiders -3
Pittsburgh Steelers -1 At Dallas Cowboys
San Francisco 49ers At New England Patriots -5
New York Jets At Tennessee Titans -1
